Each year, the Foundation to Advance Vascular Cures hosts its Circulate! gala to celebrate achievements made by our organization and our incredible partners, and to educate our community about the ongoing need for support, innovation, and collaboration to address vascular health disparities.
Two Important Papers Published on Patient Reported Outcomes in PAD Working Group
In 2022 the PROM-PAD working group published two papers that will advance this field. The goal of the effort was not simply to provide recommendations to the PAD community, but to catalyze implementation of PROMs in a feasible, meaningful, and scientifically sound fashion to improve the lives of patients with PAD.
The Importance of a Second (and third, and fourth, and fifth) Opinion
I was diagnosed with Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) by my primary care provider some ten years ago. Having never heard of this disease before, the first thing I did when I got home was Google it. On the whole, the news was not very encouraging. For as prevalent as the disease was, I didn’t find much in the popular medical literature about it.
PAD – A Mother’s Story
The Vascular Disease Foundation (VDF) ceased operations in January 2014. In October 2014, Vascular Cures acquired most of VDF’s digital assets and educational resources.
