August Patient Community Newsletter
You may not know it, but for a week every August, communities across the country celebrate a big source of quality, accessible care: Community Health Centers! August 6 - 12, 2023 is National Health Center Week: a chance to think about how you and your loved ones benefit from health centers (or can benefit more, if you aren’t familiar with them).
July Patient Community Newsletter
This July, we want to take time to mark National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month. According to the Office of Minority Health, the lack of access to quality care that burdens minorities does not stop with physical health. It affects mental health resources as well. We invite you to think about this issue throughout the month and to take steps towards improving your mental health and looking out for the people in your life. Not everyone has access to the resources they need, but being a good friend, family member, or neighbor can still make a difference in your community.
June Patient Community Newsletter
June 10th was Family Health and Fitness Day - a chance to celebrate the benefits of enjoying sports, outdoor activities, and exercise with your loved ones. Check out this month’s patient community newsletter to learn more!
May Patient Community Newsletter
May is Stroke Awareness Month, and for this Patient Community Newsletter, we’re going to help spread awareness about this all-too-common vascular event. Knowing is half the battle, and we encourage you and your loved ones to learn about what a stroke is, what it looks like, and what to do if it happens.
April Patient Community Newsletter
April is National Minority Health Month, and for this Patient Community Newsletter, we’re going to highlight the importance of vascular health for those populations that are often underrepresented in health research and care initiatives.
March Patient Newsletter
March is Blood Clot Awareness Month, which is a chance for everyone to learn more about and assess their risk of blood clots. One of the best things you can do to lower your risk for blood clots is staying active, so this month we’re focusing on the importance of exercise for vascular health.
