Our Story
CHAMPIONS, founded and piloted by UCSF Fresno vascular surgeon Dr. Leigh Ann O’Banion in 2021, has served over 300 patients through multiple community events. It is now expanding its reach to San Francisco’s East Bay in collaboration with UCSF’s San Francisco and East Bay branches, as well as, the Foundation to Advance Vascular Cures. CHAMPIONS is also forming a consortium to scale its clinics nationally. The initiative aims to address inequities in vascular disease across the country.
