PAD Month Webinar: Support and Information for People Newly Diagnosed with Peripheral Artery Disease

This month, as part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing understanding and support around Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD), we hosted a heartfelt and informative webinar. In partnership with the PAD Collaborative and facilitated by the American Heart Association, we brought together a panel of experts, patients, and caregivers who shared their insights and experiences with PAD.

Why This Webinar Matters

Real Stories from Real People: Hear from individuals who are navigating life with PAD. Patients and a caregiver shared their personal journeys, offering a window into the daily realities and challenges faced by those affected by this condition.

Expert Guidance: Our panel included esteemed clinicians from UCSF who provided up-to-date, practical advice on managing PAD. While we couldn’t cover every aspect of living with PAD, we aimed to touch on key areas that can make a significant difference in daily management and long-term health.

Support and Resources: We discussed some tools and resources that can help those with PAD and their caregivers manage the condition more effectively. One highlight was the introduction of a resource guide designed to help identify high-risk areas and provide support where it's most needed.

Building a Supportive Community: The webinar emphasized the power of community support and the value of shared experiences. Learning from one another and understanding that you’re not alone in this journey can be incredibly empowering.

Education and Empowerment: By understanding more about PAD and the experiences of others, patients and caregivers can better advocate for themselves and their loved ones in healthcare settings. Our aim is to empower you with knowledge and connect you with a community that understands and supports your journey.
