Circulate! is Vascular Cures annual dinner took place on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Olympic Club in San Francisco, CA. The goal of the event is to raise awareness about vascular disease and to raise much needed funds to find better treatments for vascular disease. The festivities include silent and live auctions, exquisite wines and dinner, and presentations by keynote speakers, patients, and innovators in the field of vascular health. This year’s keynote speaker is Jim Craig, former American ice hockey player who is most notable for being the goaltender for the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team that won the Olympic gold medal at the Lake Placid Winter Games; one of the most extraordinary and memorable sports victories of all time! The personal loss of his father years later to an undetected abdominal aneurysm (AAA), has led Jim to champion the cause of early detection of vascular disease. While an estimated 15,000 people each year die from AAA in the US, the good news is that the condition is almost always treatable if detected early.
